Back in MAC - Operation Just Cause, is an audio compact disc of the men and women of Travis Air Force Base, California launching and recovering C-5 and C-141 aircraft in support of Operation Just Cause. This high-quality stereo recording was made near the control tower on the afternoon of 23 December 1989. A number of aircraft launches and takeoffs were captured along with real-time unclassified air traffic control, maintenance, aerial port and command post communications -- as events occurred. The takeoffs of the C-5's and C-141's are quite spectacular but the people you'll hear making it happen are the real show. Supporting, maintaining and flying large cargo aircraft has its demanding, stressful, boring and even humorous aspects -- however, it's ultimately rewarding when the mission gets done.
